Comment on Everything you need to know about Carlos 1 Brandy by Chris https://blog.invinic.com/en/everything-you-need-to-know-about-carlos-1-brandy#comment-68082 Sat, 14 May 2022 01:04:57 +0000 https://blog.invinic.com/everything-you-need-to-know-about-carlos-1-brandy#comment-68082 We have a bottle of Carlos I we brought from Hong Cong in 1997. It has yet to be decanted. We have been thinking of testing it when I reach 100 in 18 years. Will it have improved more then than it already has or should we enjoy it now, save the bottle and reminisce for 18 years? We had the bottle out today and enjoyed viewing the deep red amber of the brandy. It’s not For Sale.

Thank You in advance.

Comment on Pairing Spanish wine and Italian food – seriously! by Harold https://blog.invinic.com/en/pairing-spanish-wine-and-italian-food-seriously#comment-56843 Thu, 12 Aug 2021 02:13:42 +0000 https://blog.invinic.com/pairing-spanish-wine-and-italian-food-seriously#comment-56843 ” The keys to vegetarian dishes that work well with red wine are texture and fat ; especially with something tannic like Barolo or Bordeaux, you need to give the tannins something to latch onto! Mushroom or caramelized onion risotto are absolutely fantastic with red. I also love caponata as a red wine pairing; the warm spices and soft velvety texture of the eggplant work well with wines like Spanish Tempranillo from Rioja and Ribera del Duero.”

Comment on Retsina: The Greek wine you need to know about! by Rosanne Reddin https://blog.invinic.com/en/retsina-the-greek-wine-you-need-to-know-about#comment-54308 Mon, 12 Jul 2021 18:06:12 +0000 https://blog.invinic.com/retsina-the-greek-wine-you-need-to-know-about#comment-54308 It just came to my attention that pineneedle oil is used to make a tea which doctors are claiming will fight the very harmful exhaled air from people who received the Covid vaccine. It contains suramin which combats the exhaled breath we come in contact with . I wondered if retsina also contains those properties and may contain suramin? So I started doing research. I have attempted to drink retsina while on a Greek cruise. But could NOT tolerate it’s pine overtones that it has. I am a wine lover but it tasted like an awful medicine to me… Now I wonder if it has medicinal powers…it’s been around a LONG time….

Comment on What does Grand Cru mean in Bordeaux? by INVINIC https://blog.invinic.com/en/what-does-grand-cru-mean-in-bordeaux#comment-21586 Tue, 31 Mar 2020 08:18:08 +0000 https://blog.invinic.com/what-does-grand-cru-mean-in-bordeaux#comment-21586 Dear Gary,
thank you for your message.

We do not know why it is considered Grand Cru, since this wine is not in the Grand Crus Classé classification, the best ones are the Premiers Grand Cru Classé (A and B) of Saint Emilion.

The classification is revised every 10 years and the last one available is from 2012.

Les Cadrans is the second wine of the winery, the inferior to Chateau Lassègue.

Attached is the official website of Bordeaux where it is not classified as a Grand Cru.

We’re sorry, but we can’t help you further
