Ram\u00f3n Bilbao<\/a> is one of the oldest wineries in the Rioja. The bodega was officially founded in 1924 by Ram\u00f3n Bilbao Murga<\/strong>, although he sold wine since 1896, in the small wine village of Haro, which is a reference of the Rioja Alta.
\nSince then, the winery has always been owned by the family. In 1999, this was then bought by the company Diego Zamora, S.A.<\/strong>, and they carried out important reforms<\/strong>, in which the installations were modernized.
\nFrom this time forward, the winery has characterized by the constant innovation<\/strong> of its wines, and offers us a wide selection of fine wines.<\/p>\n

Currently, it has several production lines:
\nThe first and original is the DOC Rioja<\/a>, where the classic products are made:
\nRam\u00f3n Bilbao Crianza<\/a> (loyal to customers, balanced and fresh, greedy and pleasant), Ram\u00f3n Bilbao Reserva<\/a> (ripe and powerful, elegant and charming), Ram\u00f3n Bilbao Gran Reserva<\/strong> (rich, lengthy, with maturity and heat), Ram\u00f3n Bilbao Edici\u00f3n Limitada<\/a> ( unique, exclusive and wealthy), Ram\u00f3n Bilbao Vi\u00f1edos de Altura<\/a> (Villaba de Rioja y Tudelilla in all its glory, showing us on sincere way the terroir, expressive and exclusive, atlantic Tempranillo and mediterranean Garnacha harmonize with this wine), Ram\u00f3n Bilbao Ros\u00e9<\/a> ( fresh and loyal, fruity and funny, but with authority), Ram\u00f3n Bilbao Mirto<\/a> (the experience and modernity, expression of old vines, the heat, the long ageing and the opulence).<\/p>\n

Also wines under the appellation d’origine Rueda<\/a> are made; the Monte Blanco<\/a> (fresh and natural, tropical memories, vegetable and fresh).<\/p>\n

Recently, they had the opportunity to start a project in Galicia<\/strong>, called Mar de Frades<\/a>, and with 3 different, very interesting products: Mar de Frades Albari\u00f1o<\/a> (fresh atlantic, citrus and pleasant), Mar de Frades Brut Nature<\/a> (rare and authentic, light and ordinary bubbles, foamy) and Finca Vali\u00f1as Albari\u00f1o<\/strong> (creamy, greasy, atlantic minerality, elegant and enveloping).<\/p>\n

And finally, in Quintanilla de On\u00e9simo, between Valladolid and Aranda de Duero, they develop in their Bodega Cruz de Alba<\/strong> two fantastic wines under the appellation d’origine Ribera del Duero<\/a>: Cruz de Alba (modern, fruity, with great balance, but very authentic) and the Finca los Hoyales (from the vineyard to the bottle, maximum earthy and vegetal expression, unique and special).<\/p>\n
