Such places would be filled with the things that grownups like best of all like wine and delicious, restaurant quality food. Well, such things exist &#8211; wineries. It\u2019s even possible to visit the place where heavenly Albari\u00f1o comes from, and if you\u2019ve ever tried <strong>Martin Codax Albari\u00f1o<\/strong>, you\u2019ll be planning your next holiday around a trip to their vineyards this year. If you like <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.invinic.com\/en\/the-denominacion-de-origen-rias-baixas\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rias Baixas<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> wine, you\u2019ll just love where they make it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>Martin Codax Albari\u00f1o is a Postcard from Galicia in a Glass<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the moment, we\u2019ve got two really great wines from the winery. Both of them use 100% Albari\u00f1o grapes, which create light wines with a peachy flavour. The wine can be a tad acidic. But that\u2019s a good thing &#8211; you now have an excuse to eat lots of gorgeous oily\/fatty foods that will match it perfectly like p\u00e2t\u00e9, or fried seabass. These bottles are:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.invinic.com\/en\/martin-codax-2015\"><b>Mart\u00edn C\u00f3dax.<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> In 2017, this wine scored 88 Pe\u00f1\u00edn points. To get such a score from the internationally acclaimed wine critic, it has to be seriously good wine, and the tasting notes are particularly impressive. Expect the peachy flavours characteristic of the grape. Yet also it has lovely lemony notes, as well as an inviting nose of mimosa, apple, jasmine, orange and grapefruit. That\u2019s one heck of a glassful. Try to get a young example of the wine which will still have a slight spritz, which is excellent for seafood.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.invinic.com\/en\/marieta-2015\"><b>Marieta.<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> They\u2019ve produced this bottle with a groovy label, which could be quite fun to look at on a dinner table. Yet when you\u2019re done staring at it, you might well want to drink it. Again, Pe\u00f1\u00edn scored it highly &#8211; giving it 87 points. But it\u2019s about a third cheaper than the other bottle &#8211; not a bad table wine to have for everyday drinking.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>Plan the Perfect Vineyard Tour<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Handily, the winery has a list of its <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.martincodax.com\/blog\/en\/enoturismo\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">opening times<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. That\u2019s quite important as you don\u2019t want to travel half way across Europe only to turn up on a day when the place is closed. Visiting at different times of year will have its benefits:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Spring<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is when the days lengthen out again and there\u2019s more time for tastings or tours. As it\u2019s before the season\u2019s peak, the place won\u2019t be so crowded<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Summer<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in Spain is of course divine. <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.invinic.com\/en\/wines-festivals-in-spain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Galicia<\/a> is a slightly more temperate area of the country too which makes it ideal for holidaymakers who don\u2019t like excessive heat. If you do, the rest of Spain is just a short drive away. Also June is when vines come into flower, and have you ever seen field after field of vines in bloom? It\u2019s truly beautiful.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Autumn <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is when grapes are harvested in Europe. Specifically, Martin C\u00f3dax does this in September, and you can see below for a really good wine tour to take at this time.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Winter<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is when the hotels should be at their cheapest. What\u2019s more, Rias Baixas is a cosy 10? at its coldest &#8211; which makes it a great location for a Christmas break.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>What\u2019s on Offer<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>The Mart\u00edn C\u00f3dax Tour. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On this tour, they\u2019ll explain how they make Albari\u00f1o, which you also get to taste.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Mart\u00edn C\u00f3dax L\u00edas Tour. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is double the length of the previous tour, and you can taste their L\u00edas wine too.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Mart\u00edn C\u00f3dax \u2018Troubadour Tour\u2019. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not only do you get to taste three wines, but the tour makes reference to Mart\u00edn C\u00f3dax, the medieval poet after whom the winery is named. Very cultural.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Mart\u00edn C\u00f3dax Selecci\u00f3n Tour.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> There\u2019s four wines to taste here.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Torre Quint\u00e1ns Tour.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Not only do you get to try three of their best wines, but the winery tour opens out into their vineyards as well.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Mart\u00edn C\u00f3dax Premium.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> There\u2019s more wine to try on this tour, and you\u2019ll visit their more prestigious parcel of land, Pe Redondo.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Special Wine Tourism Packs. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is a more in depth option. You\u2019ll even learn how to shellfish, as well as get a real sense for how the Atlantic coast affects these wines.
