To appreciate that, you need to buy some truly awful vodka from a budget chain of shops, and by comparison, five times distilled, organic Snow Queen Vodka will feel as pure as Siberian snowflakes wafting in on an Arctic breeze. Being so refined, it\u2019s also great for making cocktails. So one day, I set about seeing how a few classic cocktails would taste with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.invinic.com\/en\/snow-queen-vodka\">Snow Queen Vodka<\/a> as the base spirit.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5454 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.invinic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Snow-Queen-Vodka-Bottle-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"A Snow Queen Vodka Bottle\" width=\"200\" height=\"357\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.invinic.com\/en\/snow-queen-vodka\">Buy now.<\/a><\/p>\n<h2><strong>My Day Drinking Snow Queen Vodka Cocktails:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>12.01 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Screwdriver:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It wouldn\u2019t do to drink before noon. It just wouldn\u2019t do at all, as that sort of thing is frowned upon, you know, but one minute after noon is entirely respectable. I kicked the session off with a Screwdriver. It\u2019s simple enough to make:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>One part Snow Queen Vodka;<\/li>\n<li>Two parts orange juice;<\/li>\n<li>Slice of orange to garnish;<\/li>\n<li>Twist orange peel over the glass to release some essential oils.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You just plop the ice into the glass. Then add the ingredients one by one, and stir. The result is actually <strong>rather yummy<\/strong>, with the vodka bringing out <strong>bitter elements<\/strong> from the <strong>oranges<\/strong> in a pleasant way for a confirmed sugar lover. The ice does a good job of stopping the vodka from becoming too bitter. That\u2019s because cold temperatures kill off your ability to taste things, leaving only a <strong>satisfying warm glow<\/strong> from slurping down the Screwdriver. This stuff\u2019s 40% you know.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>13.10 pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mars Attacks:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After a Screwdriver, this<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.invinic.com\/en\/ic-quiz\/which-spanish-wine-are-you\/whats-your-favourite-cocktail\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> cocktail<\/a> seemed like a good idea. Note to self: never make important decisions while drinking. I read about it in a dusty old cocktail book I bought online, and as it is <strong>incredibly easy to make<\/strong>, I just had to give it a go. You\u2019ll need:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Mars bar;<\/li>\n<li>One measure Snow Queen Vodka;<\/li>\n<li>And a Microwave.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Chop up the Mars bar into tiny slivers. Put those <strong>little pieces of deliciousness<\/strong> into a microwaveable dish, and slosh over it a measure of Snow Queen Vodka. Microwave it for 30 seconds. Thoroughly stir it all together, so it\u2019s no longer&#8230;gloopy&#8230;and leave it to cool down. The verdict: <strong>not altogether bad<\/strong>. The vodka is strong alcohol, and so has <strong>a mighty hint of eucalyptus<\/strong> about it &#8211; which is the defining flavour of high alcohol. Yet the taste of <strong>sweet, creamy, melted chocolate<\/strong> overtakes that after a few seconds. It won\u2019t win any awards, but on reflection, <strong>it is actually rather fun<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>14.03<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Shrouded Martini:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After plumbing the depths with the last cocktail, I took things up a notch, and tried one of the cocktails which Snow Queen Vodka\u2019s website actually recommends. To make this, you\u2019ll need:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>6 Nocellara Olives, muddled (although I just used green, mid strength olives from a jar, as my local supermarket isn\u2019t classy enough for Nocellara Olives);<\/li>\n<li>70 ml of Snow Queen Vodka;<\/li>\n<li>5 ml of Dry Vermouth;<\/li>\n<li>5 ml of freshly squeezed organic lemon juice. (If you use non-organic lemon juice, I won\u2019t tell anyone. Between you and me, I didn\u2019t either).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I had to sit down to drink this one. Of course, by now, standing up wasn\u2019t much of an option, but this is a serious drink indeed. And <strong>a tasty one<\/strong>. It has some of the <strong>zestiness<\/strong> of a vodka sour, but with less lemon juice, your tongue won\u2019t feel like you\u2019ve licked a hydrochloric lollypop. The olives add <strong>a pleasing savouriness<\/strong> to the drink too, and the vermouth gives some <strong>interesting herby notes<\/strong>, like I\u2019ve had my martini seasoned in an Italian restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>More Cocktails!<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Drinking these cocktails is not an approved way of getting your \u20185 a day\u2019 of fruit and vegetables.
