For the 10th consecutive year the prestigious British magazine Decanter conferred its awards in the London International Wine Fair. This is one of the greatest contest in the world, because it involves a very large number of participants (around 14,362 wines from 52 countries), but can also be described as one of the most rigorous of its kind.

The evaluation process involves more than 200 judges and brings together 75 Master of Wine, 13 Master Sommeliers and other highly regarded experts from different areas in the wine industry: traders, critics, writers and, of course, sommeliers.

To asure the transparency of the competition, each wine is blind tasted and competes directly with wines from the same region and price range.

These high standards make it truly a pleasure and an honour for the different wine makers to receive any kind of award in this competition. This year, as in previous editions, Spanish wines have had a prominent place, but we want to make a special mention to one of our most demanded wines: Ferrer Bobet Vinyes Velles 2010.

This excelent, quality wine from the DO Priorat, that we have mentioned on previous occasions both on grounds of quality and careful production, has received a Silver Medal and a Regional Thropy.

From INVINIC we would like to extend our most sincere congratulations to winemakers Raúl Bobet and Sergi Ferrer-Salat and encourage everyone to try this excellent wine.
