Tomás Cusiné has developed a solidarity project with Japan. He has donated 500 bottles to his distributor in Japan so that all the money collected is for the victims of the earthquake and posterior tsunami last March 11th devastated the country.

This winery from Lerida (Spain) has excellent commercial relations with Japan since 2009.

These bottles have a very special label thanks to the collaboration of Xavier Bas – the winery graphic designer- and Arai San – Japanese calligrapher and expert in the ancient art of shodo-. The result is an image combining the graphic symbol for “kokoro” meaning “heart” and the corporative anagram of the Catalonian wine enterprise. The wine whose profits will be directed to those entities chosen by the Japanese importer is a white wine name under the estate of which it comes from –Finca La Serra–. It is a mono varietal wine made from fermented Chardonnay and aged during 6 months in 225l French oak barrel.

Congratulations to Tomàs Cusiné for this fantastic idea.
