We have now available the new vintage of Pinot Noir Acusp 2011.

Characteristics:

The year was quite warm with low yields in general due to the drought. In this sense the vines suffered the effects of the heat in its less vigorous strains and a careful selection of the grapes was needed. For this reason the vintage was carried out in two periods, being performed before in the sunniest areas.

The result is a wine that keeps the freshness of the vineyards located at higher altitudes, while maintaining subtle floral and red berrie aromas, together with spicy notes of fine leather and the typical quality features of oak, aged wines. We believe it will be a good wine to keep in the cellar, since it will improve its complexity over the next 15 years.

The idea of the winery (Castell d’Encus) for producing a Pinot Noir is improving the knowledge of their own vineyards and the different wine-making methods that allow to express both the potential of the terroir and the conception of this delicate and subtle grape variety.

We hope you enjoy it!
